So while in Barbados, I turned 30 years old…hip hip hooray for me! My childhood friend Cindi from Barbados (her mom and my mom were also childhood friends) and I made plans to go to dinner the night before my bday So she picks me up on Accra Beach and we go roaming…
So Miss Cindi neglected to inform me that her beau, Zak who I knew was a Chef is now the co-owner of his own restaurant…that’s what I call heavy… so she just nonchalantly mentions this to me and next thing I know we are pulling up to Coast Restaurant.
So Coast is located in StLawrence GapStLawrence Gap, the Gap for short, is the “party” area of Barbados with many bars and restaurants lining the GapZak and his co-owner (i forgot her name, bad Monif) have been opened since June 2008 and have been getting rave reviews ever since.
What I thought was going to be a few cocktails and catching up, turned into a full multi-course meal, cocktails, birthday singing and dessertI felt so special! And the best part is Zak cooked everything for us, the best VIP birthday present a girl could ask for.
I didn’t get the best pictures, but I had to post about Coast and encourage you all to go next time you visit Barbados!
Zak & Cindi
Cindi & I (don’t mind how I look, I had just come out of the beach)
The Coconut Mojito that Zak had for me…damn I wish I had one of those right now…
You see the look on my face when they brought out dessert…love you like a fat kid love cake for sure…
Not the best picture of the menu
I was trying to get a picture of the fact that the restaurant is next to the ocean, BUT my camera didn’t want to cooperate
I got this off their website, has the full addy and phone for everyone to take note
Tell Zak Monif sent you when you go!
Till next time…
